I recently came across a cool little web-site https://www.ididwork.com/ where you can log all your work activities, such as: picked my nose, twiddled my thumbs, oh and killed five bugs and spawned six new ones etc. For additional fun you can even send your boss the report and ask for feedback as well as share your log with colleagues. Other features include viewing a graph of the number of log entries per day as well as exporting the log to a csv or neatly formatted pdf to send to your manager.

I think using this web site could be a lot of fun, it might give you more motivation to work harder in order to have stuff to write about. Not to mention that it could encourage people to communicate more and we all know most of us software developers are useless at that.
